• Name	Thies, Julia
  	Julia, Johann's widow, was quite a bit younger than he was. She married when she was 16 and she was only 34 when he died. In Johann's will, his estate went to Julia as long as she remained a widow. She married John Gall in 1881. When she married, Johann's estate went to his children. Because they were underage, a guardian was assigned by the courts--Henry Zimmerman. I have the document that makes Henry Zimmerman the guardian of the estate. John Gall was a widower. His first wife had 12 children and his second wife 1 child. He and Julia had 2 children, Vida and Julia. Let me know if you want the information on his first 2 marriages.   	From Emma D. Vennekohl Snowden Grooms on 1/22/03: "You asked about Aunt Vida. She was a Gall and a half sistor to my grandpa. Julia remarried after Johann died and married a Gall. She had 2 girls, Julie and Vida. Julie married a banker in St. Joseph, Mo., then they moved to St. Louis, MO. Aunt Vida lived in St. Louis too and I visited her in 1948 when several of my classmates lived in St. Louis. Several of us from here (St. Joseph)went dow to visit them. Aunt Vida worked at the Congress Hotel and I went there to see her. She worked in the housekeeping department. She sent me the opal ring and diamond necklace that I gave to you (Janet Snowden Watts) before she died. The Gall that my great grandmother married had 6 sons from his first marriage and my Dad said the 6 were pallbearers when my grandpa died."
